Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)

This 42 week course provides training in the installation of air-conditioning and heating equipment including refrigeration recovery. The student will gain the knowledge and technical skills necessary to install and repair equipment ranging in size from small units to large central heating and air-conditioning systems. Students will take and pass the International 608 and 609 Refrigerant Handling tests as well as the Universal R-410A examination. Students may also take the electrical, heat pump, and green technology examinations.
- Attend classes daily for 42 weeks, 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
- Participate in hands-on class room demonstrations of skill and knowledge
- Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and Skills Sheet: Heating/Air Conditioning Installer and Service Technician.
- All teachers are credentialed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- The teachers providing vocational training have work experience in related business and/or industry.

- Installation: Window Units, Split Systems, Package Systems & Duct Work
- Codes: Air Conditioning, Heating, & Building
- Code of Ethics: Personal Appearance, Customer Relations, Goal Setting,
